I am always sad when someone in the anime / manga field passes away... May he rest in peace..

One of his first projects, Lodoss Wars, is one of my all time favorite anime series...

I didn't know that Cindy had a blog or that Madhouse was involved in Lodoss. R.I.P. How old was he?

He worked on some classic 90's fare. Funny how the headline mentions Zetsuai of all things.
One of my favorite BL classic ever. I am a sad fan, RIP. Anime cry

Ah, alas! I've only seen a little of Lodoss War (but I now own it, yay!), but what I've seen I enjoyed.

His works were all amazing and I would consider them all classic.

Rest in Peace.

I guess Lil' Slugger finally caught up with him...

On a more serious note, my condolences to the family.

Indeed, coincidentally I just gave it a re-watch yesterday. Definitely an excellent series.

May he RIP.

Sorry to bring up this old thread but I just heard about this.

I had the privilege of working with endo-san in japan and korea on spawn the animated series where he taught me a great deal about the process. I enjoyed the time I spent with him and always wondered what happened to him. Unfortunately I didn't expect it to be something like this.

Peace be with you sir, I enjoyed our talks. Hope you are enjoying that Gamera movie.

Tom

PS: below is a sketch I did in my sketchbook of him in 1997. He's the dapper fellow on the left.
