If you make a print comic detailing all those exploits, I'll buy multiple copies. But then I guess the whole point of this week's script would then go out the window.

Is that "elephants are big up close" line a crack at the woman who said that elephants were bigger than the moon on Who wants to be a Millionaire?

If so, I approve.

Yeah, if Robin ever goes to a convention, she should sell exclusive prints of a comic of this. ^-^

With Japan's falling birth rate, do they even have a thousand school children in a single province?

Is the setting of the these strips not in the US?

I thought this as well since some of the stripes mention bootlegs and they obviously can't read Japanese.
Still, if you live in a good-sized town in the US, round up all the choirs from the local churches you've probably got a few hundred kids, bribe them with candy and you can accomplish anything!
Well, still not sure where the elephants come in...

After reading that, Kenan and Kel was the first thing to pop into my head.

"Get a bowl a macaroni, a rubber saw, some shoestrings and meet me at the zoo!"

Don't make me bang my head onto my desk.

The setting is in America, but Myoopi is a $25,000 creature originating from Japan. Therefore, it makes little sense that a Japanese creature would need something that is getting fairly uncommon in its country (i.e. children) to help calm it. Therefore, that's what makes it funny.

Kind of reminds me of the Flash Gordon serial "Captured by Shark Men". The weekly serial was filmed …ah weekly, then sent to the theaters. After one episode the writers could not figure out how to save Flash so they started the next episode with "After Flash got out of the trap…”
