Assuming this "Anime TV" you're talking about is the video section, there is no subscription that would allow you to turn off the ads. The $20/year site subscription allows to turn off banners but that doesn't include video ads.

Thanks for the info.

I'm having problems with watching Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (s) ep. 25. Ads will play for all parts but video for all parts of the show itself will not play. I have turned off ad-block and disabled all add-on extensions with no result. This is the only episode in the series that has this problem so far, I've watched episodes 1-24 and 26-28 with no problems.

Ads by Gorilla Nation & Japan National Tourist Organiz (I've seen others before posting)

Tried to watch the Tweeny Witches trailer and nothing happens.

Other trailers seem to work fine.

Having problems with the Tayutama -Kiss on my Deity- trailer, the Funimation Slayers ad shows and then it just spins.

Other recent trailers work fine (Hidamari Sketch, Skullman).

Tried with both IE8 and Chrome.

I'm trying to watch the latest episode of FMA Brotherhood. I got through the video to the last ad, then things started going a bit crazy. The ad didn't play, just a little white box appeared in the top corner for a sec, then the video resumed playing, but with what I assume to be the ad soundtrack playing repeatedly in the background. I looked around for the source, like another ad pop up playing in the background, but there was none. Now every time I start any of the FMA videos, it will play to the first ad (usually) then glitch and play the ad soundtrack in the background of the FMA video. I do not have any firefox extensions, and have not had any issues playing videos on this site before.

Thanks for letting me know, but that's a Hulu video, and not directly controlled by us. Does it work when you try to play it directly from Hulu? I'm having no problems over here.

If not, I'm afraid you're going to have to tell them.

I know there's nothing that can be done in my case (since I'm in a region where it's not legal to watch these videos), so I'm just curious...

I live in Japan, I assumed I would be able to watch the shows since they originated here... but I guess not. Is that due to ANN's agreements with the American licencors?

Sorta. It's due to our agreement with whomever licensed us the title., In some cases that's the American company, in other cases that's the Japanese company. Either way there's a very limited set of countries that we're allowed to stream to. It varies from show to show, but in most cases it's USA + Canada.

Either way though, it all goes back to the fact that the Japanese companies already have their own distribution channels in place for the Japanese territory, they aren't interested in allowing foreign licensees to cannibalize their home market.

Sadly anglophones living in Japan get left out since most of the Japanese distribution channels don't include English language options.

animenewsnetwork.com/video/6840/#play-1

Plays the wrong video at first, and then no video at all.

Sad

Working on it. Looks like the encode got munged. Hopefully my source file isn't like that as well.
EDIT: Re-encode went OK, uploading now. Should be ready in about 10 minutes (7:15am EDT)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Having a problem with Ads not showing up on Area 88 OVA sub part 2. I really dont mind the ads much at all and want to at least contribute a little bit by letting the ads play.
