The apps are part of the larger collaboration between Yahoo! Japan and Shueisha in the electronic book field, which includes putting over 3,000 pages from 21 Weekly Shonen Jump titles online for free.
Nice. It's about time a big manga publisher jumped into digital distribution. Very nice that the digital version for the non-free stuff is half the price of the physical version. |

The Japanese side of the industry embracing digital can only be a good thing for manga fans outside of Japan. |
