I'm a teacher and we started school today. Honestly, I was really touched by the first panel - a tribute to the end of summer. It was probably a coincidence that ANN posted this strip today, but still - I appreciated it.

Bacon, pirates, and academia - wow Robin - you tackled a lot in today's strip. ^_~

You left out zombies, ninjas, robots and lolcats. I think Robin just summed up the internet. She wins, game over. Everyone can go home now.

I am slightly confused as to why Nina won't be able to enjoy breakfast with them anymore. Paola might go to school, but I cannot recall Kevin having such pursuits. Elections must be high on News Elf coverage schedules.

Though at least I chose mightily for dinner last night.

I actually like this character like this better than when he was ranting about Youtube removing Naruto.

But . . . does this strip have to do with anime? I'm not really sensing a connection.

Try going to an anime convention and not getting hit with programming involving zombies, pirates, ninjas, and various combinations of and battles between them. See also:

Speaking of bacon...I have grown slightly tired of it. But I was stoked when I discovered J&D's Bacon Salt. Seriously, food makes me happy now that it tastes like bacon without my heart hurting. It's pretty cool since there's no actual bacon, just tastes like it. Vegetarian friendly and kosher!

I haven't eaten bacon in over decade (only eat poultry and fish). I don't miss it either.

Yeah at first I was kind of confused what was going on but I've never been to a convention so yeah...

Though.... I think I will have to call bacon God-strips from now on.
