Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Shocked

Anybody have any details? Expected release date, episodes, what stories it will cover, etc?

Hm, but the manga is still running. Now hope it has a somewhat decent anime-ending.

Of course, I have the feeling that it'll just be a short side-story OAV or something.

A direct continuation of the TV series would be impossible due the massive continuity issues that would result.

There's no way that they'd be able to even get a TV-series remake on the air considering the content.

And the idea of an OVA adaptation of the whole thing just seems unrealistic to me in today's economic climate...

I don't think anyone is letting objectionable content stop them from airing things on TV these days.

I'd prefer a series of OVAs, like Hellsing Ultimate. Just with a more timely release schedule.

Also, OH YEAH, ANIME IS DYING, ALL THEIR IS IS MOE UGUU STUFF. End is Nigh Status: told.

True, I just don't think that there's any amount of convenient steam and inexplicable black fog that can hide a lot of the stuff that occurs in Berserk sufficiently

As much as I want to believe this is a continuation of the original anime, I am gonna wait for the official details cause I just KNOW the chances are damn high it will end up being an OVA/remake.

Though I have always thought they were just waiting for more content to build up before doing another 24-26 episode anime arc, maybe they figure they have enough now.

Timely release schedule? Miura? Laughing

Point being: It can be timely until it catches up to where the manga is, then they will have to wait bout 5 years in between OVA's Razz

Well, we've already seen naked tween girls torn limb from limb on TV, so I can't really think of anything in the original anime that would cause more concern.

I really hope they animate the Millenium Empire Arc.

The Troll arc, everything to do with Wyld, the Retribution arc. Not only gorier than anything I've seen on oh say, Highschool of the Dead, but several times more disturbing in my opinion.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

OMG!

I have to admit that, I'm kinda in the same waters as what these people said; it's either a remake, an OVA remake/continuation, or... just an OVA whatever.

Still, the fact that they're GOING to do it means that either Muira's story is coming to an end soon... or that now's the time. I wonder if Susumu and OLM will still do it?
