Does Sentai license long running shows? I forget... I ask since there was a leak the other day saying this was going to be 45+ episodes.

It's not going to be 45+ episodes. Shows that length are not released 2 episodes per disc. Medaka Box is getting the standard one-cour release (six 2-episode volumes). The only way its going to be 45+ episodes is if it gets sequel seasons.

Nice grab. I've been cautiously aniticipating this show and am glad it's coming out. Only negative is that all of CR's spring line-up boxes are filled out, which means they didn't get Eureka 7

Mistakes and typos, like entering the wrong number or putting it on the wrong line at some point in the process, happen.

The show has been solicited. 40+ episode shows are not released on two episode discs, so its not like they're just going to add more discs later. The only company that even does two cour shows that way in recent years is Kadokawa and Medaka Box is a Media Factory release. It would be pretty much impossible to screw up disc solicitations to that degree. It's not just putting the wrong number somewhere, its putting the wrong episode numbers in multiple times and for the wrong number of discs.

So, is it possible that it will actually end up being 45 continuous episodes? Well, in the "its not actually physically impossible" sense, sure, but the disc solicitations mean the odds of that happening are incredibly low.

I could SWEAR there was an anime exactly like this 1 or 2 years ago with the same premiss; girl S.C. Pres, unwilling to help cousin/friend and a suggestion box... am I crazy or does someone else remember it?

Wouldn't have mattered, Medaka Box has been going on for many years already.
