Now you don't have to worry about jizz stains ruining your posters anymore!

Sad...I was thinking the same thing.

We all know what the real purpose of these posters is, Cospa.

I predict next year's model will change colors when exposed to liquids.

People can wet character posters for display on bathroom surfaces

Oh, ANN… (probably not on purpose, but still funny) Laughing

Or maybe even a "different image" could appear…

Wait, let's not give them any more ideas…

Putting that aside, I like the idea of having posters you can place in a humid, moisture-laden place like your bathroom, sans frame. I sort of wonder about the possibilities of mildew and mold behind the posters, though…

well i'm sure they'll have to come down and be cleaned eventually. Hell even 'mildew' proof curtains still eventually start to mildew, but clean them when you clean the bathroom and I would think they'd be good.

I actually do like this idea. Every room of my house has anime posters, pictures, figures and such with the exception of the bathroom. This would make for a great way to decorate in an anime fashion Smile

Finally something useful. Except that I don't have any posters up my walls.

Bath posters have been pretty popular in the last year or so. Magazines bundle them and COSPA does release regular sized bath posters.

I guess today is just a slow news day.

This isn't a news article. It's an INTEREST article (You know, like it says IN THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE IN CAPITAL LETTERS), that is, one that really isn't super important but still possibly interesting.

Umm...thank you Captain Obvious? I stated today is a slow news day, which it currently is right now.

Assuming that one will post them in their bath/shower as designed, I don't think cleanliness will be an issue, or at least for certain characters Smile

Kind of like those mugs that show a different picture when they get hot! But can they please make some with NON-loli/moe-blob anime/manga characters? Some that I think would sell:

Urabe Mikoto from Mysterious Girlfriend X

http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2c0fbvsG61qzz9rr.png

Heck, the drool connection goes right along with that one!

Amir from A Bride's Story

http://www.yenpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/BRIDE_1.jpg

One of the most stunningly beautiful women in manga! Really, if you haven't read it, you should grab a copy at your local library, just for the art! Note the emphasis on the word "women", Amir is not a girl in any way, shape, or form!!!! spoiler[(The first two volumes have some non-sexual nude scenes, because Kaoru Mori "really enjoys drawing naked people", or at least that's the impression one gets from the author's notes...)]

And, of course, Belldandy:

(EDIT: I replaced the images with URLs, in case people don't want to view... Nothing inappropriate or anything... (I didn't choose those images... LOL!)

It is, however, a part of the 'Newsroom' newsfeed.

I have nothing to really say about this but I just feel compelled to post in this thread.

I guess the next logical question is when will the water-proof dakimakuras be unleashed onto the public?

Yeah, waterproof posters do seem a little weird. What happened to just buying a wall scroll and hanging it on your bedroom wall? Do Otaku have so little wallspace left to hang stuff that they have to utilise their bathrooms?

Or is there a perverted reason for this disturbing and plain baffling development that I'm subconsciously refusing to see . . . ?
