A correction- These 5 girls are not new to the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls game. Cinderella Girls is a spinoff, and is not considered part of the game series.
But wow, I play the game, and I knew how popular Anzu was, but crap man. And the funny thing is, she's 17 years old! I'm loving listening to the songs, and translating them too. Congrats Cinderella Girls!

Only reason they sold that much is because of the sr cards offered and people thought they could get a ton of stamina drinks for each card. Give you and idea, chihaya the top selling m@ster cd. Sold like 1/4 of rikas. Anzu is the worst of them all but I'll just leave it at that.
