Anytime a series is dropped from a North American company is great news, even under these circumstances where the film has seen at least one North American release (unfortunately). I'd totally import over buying it here, the least the fans can do is support the real creators, not the NA distributors. I'd rather watch a fansub than buy the NA release, since the amount of money the original creators would see in both cases would be negligibly different, because when you buy a NA release they hardly get a dime.
Anyway, waiting on a Blu-ray release for import. This show is so much more worthy of that over DVD. |

...You're an idiot who apparently doesn't know what he is talking about. It is never good news when anime is dropped from a North American company as it means both money lost from the US anime industry and money lost from the Japanese who agreed to license it. While it's nice that you would like to import rather than buying here (everyone has their preferences I suppose), not everyone has the money to import anime from Japan directly, and even if they did, a lot of people prefer to actually know what is going on (I know, it's a shock, not every anime fan in the country knows fluent Japanese as you seemingly do). You're absolutely wrong about Japanese companies "hardly getting a dime" when it comes to licensing anime here as well. If that were the case, they would not do it. The reason it takes so long for some licenses to go through is because they are working out an agreement where both the North American licensor comes out ahead, as well as the Japanese studios/licensors involved get their fair share. They are there to make money and if they were not making money, the license would not be in effect.
As for your fansub comment, I am not even going to begin to say how blatantly stupid that made you sound.
Back on topic though...I personally do hope that 5cm Per Second gets relicensed. I haven't had a chance to purchase it yet and having it back in print will make it more easier available at a reasonable price. |

That is what I am thinking at this point. Something "behind the scenes" happened and thus caused Bandai to react this way. If Bandai is going this far, it's probably best we don't know. |

Could it be Sony?
I don't know if Blood+ was a Bang Zoom dub, but it did use some Bang Zoom VA's. |

Do you even watch yourself type? That idiotic statement is a clear mark of a weeaboo--the not-so-nice-people of anime fans. People like you are clearly the cancer that is killing the industry. If you buy a R1 DVD, you're supporting the industry. Not so with fansubs.
Kids, this is a very obvious weeabo who thinks anime should "go back to the fans" when they really just don't want to pay for anything. We spell people like these E-P-I-C-F-A-I-L.
@ Gewürtztraminer: Blood+ was a Studiopolis (Bleach, Naruto) dub, not Bang Zoom. |

Check Amazon or eBay. They might even have some used copies floating around. |

There is no "dubbed" or "subbed" version. The ADV release contains both audio tracks and is the only legitimate R1 version. |
