I also wonder how it would compete with the local libraries. Usually you can ask a library to order any book (including manga) you want. It may take a while but you can get your book for free and borrow it for a lot longer than overnight.

However, libraries also have DVDs and it doesn't make blockbuster any less profitable. And it's not like the price is overly high.
