Seems they're advertising the heck out of this even without a TV broadcast. On Thursday, here's another spot where ya don't usually see anime ads - June 7 2012 Japanese phenom Yu Darvish pitching at Oakland A's (and getting his ass handed to him): Laughing

what

Would kids who'd play this game watch baseball?

Some random podcast? What about it? You should summarize it and say how it's relevant to the discussion for people who don't want to listen.

That's what I was going to say.

Sports fans and TCG fans/anime fans aren't exactly going to have a huge overlap.

At least they're trying, I suppose. Maybe a commercial or poster in a hobby shop or something might have been better.

Did you listen to it at all? It has some information about Blue Water Studios. It's actually a radio interview with 2 key people involved at the studio.

I listened to it last year. The guys at Blue Water have some delusions, but no more so than the rest of the anime industry. Wink

At least the anime industry as a whole (excluding Blue Water) understands the art form that is anime & doesn't think of it as simply saturday morning cartoons.

With shit like Seiken No Qwaser, I'd have a REAL hard time convincing people that anime is an art form.

With art like Haibane Renmei, I have a hard time saying it's not.

The good stuff has a hard time making an impact when the bad stuff overshadows it.

Nothing is an artform then if something you like doesn't exist in a certain medium.

The majority of the shows Blue Water dubs are Saturday morning cartoons.

I thought Blue Water shut down because they weren't getting enough work (Unless they've been doing Western cartoons and TV commercials to pick up some more Dead Presidents).

No Blue Water is alive and kicking as is Ocean. If you want to get a good grasp on what Blue Water's up to check their casting agency which lists almost their entire body of work (some shows haven't even been announced yet) though interestingly this show isn't on there.

I'm susprised that Ocean Studios are using unknowns for this series instead of it's vetrans VA. This is starting to feel a lot like Zoids Chaotic Centrury where the same thing happened.

Luckily Chaotic Century was a preety decent dub,so this dub will probably be fine as well.

IT'S A HELL OF A LOT BETTER THAN THE HORROR THAT IS 4KIDS!

This show is dubbed in Calgary not Vancouver. There are veteran Blue Water actors?

I never said it was dubbed in Calgary. And i never said they were any known anime VA vetrans from Blue Water.

I stated that it's susprising that the series was not being dubbed by vetrans from Ocean Studios, which was what they did with Zoids Chatoic Century a while back.

Either way, wether it's being Voiced by vetrans or newbies from Ocean,it's definitely better than the horrors that is 4kids. Agree?
