| Not hacked up, just poorly executed. The dub was horrible, but the sub was still good. Garsey's Wing is a good title, and definitely worth $10, as is They Were 11 (not great, but not worth overlooking for such a small price). |

I like it quite a bit. When I first watched it, it took me a couple of minutes to get past the dated character designs, but the story's top-notch. |

| I strongly reccomend the They Were 11 manga, which is published in Four Shoujo Stories from Viz. I didn't like the anime as much, although plotwise it's pretty faithful. It just didn't capture the style of the manga. The manga's the product of such a distinctive and personal cartooning style, and the anime is so generic. Not awful, though, if I remember right. |

| Ooh, I'd wanted to get a copy of They Were 11, and it looks like it's a good thing I waited. Now, Viz, how long before we can get an English translation of the They Were 11 bunko? (My guess? Probably 20 years to never...) |
