| Wow, if Air Master didn't totally suck I might just care. |

| Good price and episode ratio for Slam Dunk, but not enough time to build PR for it. |

I had a tiny amount of inside information from a contact at YTV circa 1995 (who I haven't talked to since 1996) that DiC had been considering licensing Slam Dunk! if Sailor Moon had been a bigger hit in the United States, but, alas, the Pokémon/Yugioh era of televised anime being quite popular was still a couple of years away and Sailor Moon only ever got a niche following (aside from on YTV) and DiC didn't touch any other anime as far as I remember.
So those of you who want an accurate dub of Slam Dunk! might not realize that you narrowly dodged a bullet there. |

| DIC probably would have an even harder time being able to handle Slam Dunk than Sailor Moon, since the former encourages kids to get off their duffs and shoot some hoops, which is usually not what American networks want kids to be doing when they need to sell a bunch of toys. |
