What the hell? He went to all that trouble to get the opportunity to finish it, and now he's just giving it away for free?! I guess Takei's more interested in Ultimo now?

I'm so out of the loop on this story now. Does the Finale mean that they'll probably (or have they already) say who the Shaman King is?

Or you could actually open the link and read what's been posted, because it's not actually the entire chapter. Only 15 pages preview have been posted.

Really excited about this...and I noticed the sad truth how many years since I last read Manking...when I last followed the series I bought the Japanese manga and I couldn't really understand them. Now I can read these online scans with perfect fluency. Time sure flies...

Not sure what you are complaining about Rolling Eyes

I'm confused. I never understood the ending they left it off. They were just heading off fighting. And then there was something about Yoh and Anna's kid??

So very very confused.

Cool - I can now buy the Shaman King manga and know I will see an actual end to it... I loved this series, but dropped it a LONG time ago.

Well, I don't know what all the negativity is about, since a lot of what I've heard over the years has centered around many fans saying they want to read manga sooner, and on the cheap--what could be more effective than allowing it to be read (legally) online for free? Even if it's just for a short time, I think that's a fine idea.

If folks are goin' to the 'trouble' to buy the Kanzen Ban vols. than chances are they're devoted enough to the series that they won't mind shelling out a bit more money to finish off their tankoban collection, am I right?

btw, the question question is directed to anyone in "the know." As I've not read any of Kanzen Ban yet (i.e. via pirating) I'm not quite sure what it pertains to. Some have said it's a "remake" of sorts of the original manga, condensed into 27 vols. Is this true? If not, what are they exactly? Question

Ashen Phoenix,
The kanzenban edtions are basically special edition re-releases of the most popular Jump manga series. More chapters per volume, colour pages and possibly other extras.
Two volumes are released each month.

In Shaman King's case, Takei is using this opportunity to add the ending he envisioned to his series, after he had been forced to cut the ending short due to cancellation.

It's so sad... I don't even remember when I stopped reading Shaman King. At one point I just lost interest, but looking at the pictures, I kind of miss the days when it was still fun. But I don't think I'll be geting back into the story again. This is just me, of course. There are fans desperately waiting to read the continuation. Smile
A preview like that is a neat idea. (Previews on s-manga are usually shorter than fifteen pages, I believe, and are only online on release day or the day before.

I was wondering if the last chapters were any good, as I imagine it'd be kinda hard to draw/write the end years after the previous chapters.

Um, ANN?

Not to complain or anything, but you guys do realize that this is the same several-page free preview that Shueisha posts for all of its new manga volumes, right?

Right? Confused
