Expansion to Latin American and the UK would seem a sure thing, given their Latin American and UK specific sites, but it will be interesting to see how quickly they expand this outside of the US & Canada and how far it ends up being extended internationally.

I'm pretty disappointed theres no HD, which I pretty much expected it would have from the start. Might as well just watch it on the website.

HD is planned for an update later this year.

This is totally awesome!!! Very Happy They still have a few bugs to work out, but it's a start. I'm looking forward to the improvements in the future.... Cool Cool Wink

It's a pretty decent app, but it doesn't seem to prefetch very much, if at all. So, during my viewing, there were times when the video slowed down and started to stutter. When this happened, the audio and video tended to lose synch.

Maybe it's the speed of my net connection, but I don't have any problem with Netflix through my PS3, so I tend to think it's the app itself... or maybe something with Crunchyroll's site bandwidth.

If it persists after Saturday, head to the premium forums and let them know. Don't use the general tech forum. I've a feeling it's ignored.

Aren't they always? But it's unusual for the pages themselves fail to load this often, so there's that.

Yep. Considering the number of 404 error complaints, I'd say CR's getting more than upgrades.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if we get new layouts, either.

I've actually requested this and was told it would be considered, but of course, no promises.

I said it was rather callous to just "throw out" what they think people want, especially since they're pushing toward a more Netflix-like design while a simple feature like alphabetizing our queue was neglected.

You should have seen the feedback we gave them when they took our season listings from us. Yeah, they're a bit buried, but at least they're back.

I'm pretty sure I complained about the removal of that as well, but what bothered me the most was the removal of the page with the latest episodes (they brought it back but sorted by latest series updated... pretty stupid). Some changes they make are just plain retarded.

If a game did what they are doing, throw their beta at everyone like that, they'd just go under.

The app is still a little buggy but we're committed to resolve the issues quickly and get HD video on PS3 as well as on our other apps.

Once the critical performance issues are resolved and the update is available, we'll make the app international friendly and release it in as many countries as we can. Everything but the basic UI is already translated based on region so it shouldn't take much more time to complete the international support.

As for webpage loading issues, servers were swapped out for beefier servers to increase performance but 1 or more may be misconfigured. Once the problem is located and resolved, site performance will be even better. So this does not have to do with any Beta functionality.

P.S. Once again ANN doesn't even acknowledge the Crunchyroll PS3 app with it's own News article. Even Crunchyroll News has unbias reports on competitors ...
