Ray (the Steamboy) sounds so girly in the dubbed version. The original seiyuu is a woman, but she has deeper voice and fits the voice of a boy. Anna Paquin's voice doesn't fit as a boy.

Yeah, I should have said this sooner but Sam Goody and a few other stores are offering a free preview disc of Steamboy when you purchase an anime related item. Of course you could just lift it like me and buy something else and they won't care. It's basically a 10 minute interveiw with the producer/preview type thing with trailers for other moview.

According to the latest Animerica there are almost 20 minutes cut out of the dub release making it 104 minutes long.
The local paper lists the subtitled version at aprox 120 minutes. |
