And yet it's still cheaper than the platinum Hello Kitty that came out in 2006 and was going for 18.9 million yen. There was also the Queen Kitty that sold for $102,000 and the 3 million yen birthday kitty from 2004.
Don't ask my why I remember these things...

| Amazing what we can make in the world. But don't be surprised if somebody would try to buy it. Unless they decide they're going to put this piece of jewelry in a museum somewhere. Still, I can imagine there are people who would like to get their hands on such a collector's item. |

I am suddenly reminded of a friend from high school that collected Hello Kitty merchandise. Seeing as she was also the world's biggest tight-wad, I can imagine her having a heart attack over something like this. "It's so cute... but so expensive... x.x"  |
