| I actually have seen legal and non-homely chicks at anime cons, but they're usually attached to some other guy. |

Reminds me of that freaky drawing Yamazaki created in Welcome To The NHK. Only less freakish-yet-very-slightly-cute-in-an-insane-way and more what-the-hell-was-she-thinking sort of way.
Having never been to an anime con, are there really people committing random assault like that? (And would I not be perfectly within my rights to snap and kick their ass even if they were a girl if they did that to me?) |

People like that are quite frightening...
I'm so glad Otakon banned those dreaded paddles |

Yes.
Though somebody should have informed her that she didn't need to use ALL of the grab-bag contents at once. |

Brings back painful memories...
I always see at LEAST one of these... things every time I go to a convention. The yaoi paddle is the world's worst invention. |

Hehehehe....there's always a handfull of people that are like that at cons, they wear everything under the sun, but as long as they're having fun, it's all good.
I can't say that I've seen too much random physical assaults at any of the cons I've gone too, security is usually a bit tough on anything they view as weapons. But RadicaLElly is right about the glomps, you never see those coming! |

| You know, this could turn into a less painful version of Norbit. |

Is it supposed to be some sort of blunted (and terribly misguided) cupid's arrow (i.e., if you smack 2 boys within a 10 foot radius will they gravitate toward one another)? Or is it that maybe, just maybe, some fans will buy anything vaguely associated with their fandom?
P.S. I can't help but think they should make them bigger so they can be used as pizza paddles or something in the future...
@rogue_gamecube-- I think she was going for a play on "semicolon," but yeah I noticed that too. |

| I'm glad that anime has a strong community. Sadly, freaky weird otakus do make up a portion. Furthermore, I really dislike those paddles. I saw one time at AX where some random female swacked a young man out of no where. I was not sure if it was friends or what, but I didn't stick around long to find out. |
