Deserved IMO. I havn't read it, but if it's at least AS good as the anime (And I'm assuming it's BETTER than the anime) then it's gotta be awesome.

^ You can't even compare it to the Anime since the adaptation sucks and the LN is 1000000000x better.

And still no official English translation.

Come on, Yen Press! You guys could make a killing if you get this out while the iron is still hot!

Light novels don't sell well here. I wouldn't expect it.

I read a few chapters of vol 1 and thought it followed quite well, not as detailed as the LN and sure it did leave a lot of extra stuff out but the main idea is there and seems to follow truely. Also for those that doesn't like to read.

I hope they officially announce a sequel to the anime to continue the story arcs. Want to see GGO and Underworld arcs and given that the LN are doing well and is affected by the anime, that they would do it.

I quite like the convenience of my Nook. But I mostly read things at work, so not having to police two or three books a night is a major convenience(not to mention I can set the Nook down much faster than a book).

The anime is also projected at like 30k sales, so I doubt there will much issue making a new series.

Can't judge a LN just by a few chapters on Vol 1.

Sigh I want light novels over here legally as well in print forum, but it's not going to happen. Print media slowly fading away and these titles are niche as it is. I'd say it would be best to release/license these titles for e-readers to help cut down on risk of unsold stock.

Aye... well good for swords arts online it's nice to see a sales boost for slightly above average anime/great light novel.

Not to mention, translating pages and pages of just text is hard work. Manga only has like 10-20 bubbles per page, most of those one or two sentences, or perhaps even just a word. Anime may have a hundred lines per episode, but getting an entire book done is just a whole other level. That's time consuming for a translator, and expensive. Manga can be broken into people cleaning, typesetting, (or just editing in general) and translating, but with that division of labor you can obtain a brisker pace, and get more releases out quickly.

not when can just use what is already translated and just correct their error and make improvement. It's legal to use fansub, there is nothing they can do about it.
