You know, the whole time I've been reading through the comments, I kept thinking, "what worse character could she have chosen? Does *anyone* like Miaka?"
But no, you're right. Nothing is worse than a Twilight fan. |
Yeah, because it's not possible to like Twilight and still be sane.

Oh boo hoo. Guess I'll just sit here and be insulted then. Dang forum Nazis...

Well done Robin.
Last week everyone was expecting a catch, don't think anyone mentioned this one. I'm also curious to see why that specific series was chosen, this could get even more entertaining.

I don't know if I should be happy or scared for Kevin right now. I knew it was too good to be true.

Easy: She read the forums and thought of the one thing nobody predicted. Not that it's any less brilliant of a plot twist.
Actually, now that I think of it... was she planning this all along? Were the "hair buns" foreshadowing?? Hmmmmm...
Hey, maybe this'll be like a comedy version of Shiki-Jitsu!! I really need to see that movie...

whoa didn't see that coming, ehehe if this gets any stranger then the girl might be sane, if not well even if Kevin is desperate Run, theirs nothing worse then a crazed fan girl then a crazed fangirl who mentally inserts themselves into lead female roles in any form of entertaining media while dragging her friends down with her into a vat of insanity

I can see Kevin actually attempting to go on with her game. But then she makes some weird obscure reference to her "past life" that he doesn't know and mixes up series and starts talking about Kaleido Star or something....
D'oh!

I would like to make note that "otakukin" isn't the accepted term anymore, they're calling themselves "fictionkin" now.
that said, I loled. who would have thought she was an overblown exaggeration of the fictionkin stereotype? now if you throw in a best friend who thinks she's Sailor Moon and is looking for her fellow Senshi that would be even more lolworthy.

No, it could be much worse than that. She could be a combination otakukin and yaoi fangirl, whose real desire is to watch the rest of her harem having sex with Kevin.

Great job on the strip Robin! I was half asleep at work and your comic woke me right up. Explaining the laughing was not easy since I was supposedly working.

With one three letter word Keven's soul is forever damned to hell. The things we men will do in the presents of a pretty face. Adam and Eve it!

That isn't what happened.
And to be frank, I found the endless amount of "guessing" last week to be... well, puzzling. I don't understand the mad dash to basically spoil the comic. Is it a pride thing? If you were right, are you 'smart'? Is it possible to just enjoy the thing without attempting to force yourself into the creation process.
It's a comic strip, not a guessing game, not a contest to see who can ruin the storyline or "outsmart" the author by tossing proverbial darts at a board.
