BookOff is AWESOME!
So much great manga for 100yen But its such a great magnet for manga cows (which doesn't help that most of aisles are really thin). |

| Wow, this could really be big news. I'm not sure I understand all of the ins-and-outs, but this could actually have some long-term consequences. It'd be interesting to have someone fluent in business interpret this news. |

| I hope that they aren't doing this to increase the prices so people would rather buy new manga instead of used, much like Gamestop. |

| As of right now, there isn't any immediate impact that this transaction will have on the company. However we may be seeing some activity later, depending on what these guys decide to do. |

| Of course people will resolve to alternatives, meaning also cheaper ways of spending. Book Off provides one of those alternatives, and on a big crunch too. I view Book Off as a place though where you can find more rare stuff than one might think from just buying it new, if it even is in production any more. |

Hmm... interesting.
So now publishers are buying into a used bookstore chain? I wonder if that would fly in the US? Actually, considering its treatment of MS and Intel, I wonder if such a thing would fly in the EuroZone?
It'll be interesting to see if any of those governmental agencies have something to say about this, since there are stores in their jurisdictions, or if the deal is too small for anyone outside publishing to even care. |
