We have plenty of cons here in Australia, as we've covered over the years some are better than others. So the question is, when you attend a convention what do you really look out for. What is the major items that you spend your time doing? Do you spend the entire weekend doing cosplay photography, spending big or perhaps in the panel rooms?

Just curious: do Australian cons similar to American counterparts i.e. with panels, showcases, new license announcements, etc.?

Personally I'd spend a lot of time doing photography. Razz

I have only been to a single Supernova, been very busy other years (study). I spent most of my time looking at DVDs and figures, just enjoying the atmosphere as well. Being around my people Very Happy.

The best metaphor I can come up with is that Australian cons are a picture of a picture.

We only recently have three anime companies, usually most of the conventions will just have the Madman panel with new acquisitions / showcase / questions. Hanabee just had their first panel at Manifest. But in terms of industry, we don't have much at all.
