-Barrie Ontario!? %&@$ yes!! Gonna bother the heck outta the Galaxy employees about the tickets when I go see the Transformers sequel! Also dibs on the poster if they put one up, like they did for the Death Note LAs. Even if its using the PG Eva model kit in the ones shown; they're pretty nice.
-I've got goldfish memory when it comes to remembering people, but were you the guy cosplaying Lelouch in the school uniform? Even if you weren't THANKS A TON! -Also if any Toronto/Mississauga readers see this, could you PM me if you know if any of the theatres participating have the KFCs or Burger Kings the Cineplex website lists? If I can actually have fast food without being thrown out; I'd head out there instead of some lousy popcorn(also I bet the KFC/Burger King will be pricey, but I'm okay with that)! Well it is about a hour and a half drive for me. If they don't add any theaters in Michigan, I would have to cross the boarder into Windsor Canada just to see it. Which means I am going to have to spend some money on one of those passport cards.

I feel the same way of it coming to my little Canadian city >_>... I never thought Eva on the big screen were possible... too bad I follow the sub of it... Funny though, I expect a small turnout since the one day that theatre screen Death Note The Last Name only... 10 people showed up, so I hear? Still it boggles my mind why America didn't get more dates! Maybe more to come? BIIIIG population difference! |

I'm gonna get a lot of hate replies for this...
but this dub is so far looking to be far worse than the original English dub. They replace so much of the cast, including Rei, Dr. Akagi, and Gendou Ikari. The Japanese have the love of the work enough to keep at least 97% of the cast intact. Dr. Akagi sounds horrible! At least Sue Ulu gave her so much personality when she played her. I can't believe she's not reprising this role. I truly enjoyed watching the Japanese Eva 1.0 last year at AX. But I'm actually dreading it this July. I'm sorry. The entire movie dub better prove me wrong. |

Only in So Cal BTW. No San Fran, no Berkeley, no San Jose. That is fine for me though since I will be in SD for Comic-Con. And from looking at the dates it appears they will show Eva 1.0 on Preview Night onto the last day. Sweet, I have choices. Here's hoping they host it in the downtown theater instead of at the convention center. And I guess there's just more Eva love coming from Canada than in the US. Maybe all those times ADV was milking it was due to Canadian demand. |

OH HELL YEAH!!! No downtown trip for me this time, baby!! w00t!! With that aside, I was noticing that all the theatres that were selected in Canada are Cineplex theatres and Cineplex is the major theatre chain across Canada.. So I'm guessing that it made things a whole lot easier for Funimation to organize. However they might be adding more theatres with time and demand. So I suggest to those who didn't get a screening near your area to e-mail FUNi and see if you can get it. |

Holy Cow! Look at all them Canadian releases... hell one of the theatres is 10 mins aways from me! Sweet! No excuse to miss this now!
Now I just need to hear that Funi has licensed the 1.11 blu-ray and we'll be all set, because I swear I will wait for the blu-ray release for all these films and I'm not budging on that! If DBZ can get blu-rays I don't see how this can't... And I don't see a trailer on the funi site... what's the deal? Anyway, found it on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiBAZGTnSAE |
