Well given that it's going to be in Ribon I expect it's not going to have the same sort of... "feeling" shall we say?... as Sensual Phrase. |

Hopefully this time she can write a story without having her heroine get molested or raped every other chapter.
Various Shinjo spoilers:
I thought Sensual Phrase would be different but low and behold she does get raped. Not by the leading male thank god, but still. Wtf? can't she write something without molestation and rape? Haou Airen was a trainwreck. Good thing she had the sense to kill Hakuron off. All her heroines suck. And the guys are sex addicted, possessive maniacs that fangirls drool over cause they look "hawt." Actually reading some of the things the characters say, actually looking at it, its almost hilarious. |

Oh man, so true, so true. I started to read Love Celeb, but the guy in it was absolutely disgusting. The way he treated women as objects put on Earth simply for his sexual pleasure...blech. And it turns out that he's quite a popular character among shoujo/josei fans? I think it's the same as all the fangirls who drool over Edward from Twilight - girls seem to love a guy who will treat them like crap.
Love Celeb was pretty bad that I'm hesitant to read anything else by her, but Haou Airen sounded slightly interesting. Maybe I'll try it. |

Maybe I'll try it. | Oh goodness, please, if you're gonna read any of her other works do NOT make it Haou Airen. It makes Love Celeb look positively progressive in comparison. Plus, since it was one of the works she worked on just after Kaikan Phrase, the art's still pretty rough. I guess if I had to recommend another of her works, I'd probably say try Midnight Children. It's not the best thing ever but--SPOILER--no one wants to rape the main character within the first chapter. Exciting! |
