It's a bit unfortunate that all the old episodes have noticeable interlacing artifacts. But it's nice to see something stream without arbitrary region locks for once.

Well, until the Funimation video portal returns to its original state, which it apparently will, this offering may well tide us over.
Kadokawa now appear on my imaginary 'good list', which is normally quite small.

Are they using the subtitles on the U.S release of the dvds for anything in season 1? or are they doing something else?

Quite the opposite- it means you're seeing lines/ghosting that aren't supposed to be there.

Japanese Haruhi Fails. Wendy Lee is the only Haruhi... And those yellow subs are from Bandai's DVD's............ If you don't have the box set go buy it!
