What a shame. I'll always be grateful for them releasing Descendants of Darkness, among many other favorite series of mine. This economy sucks. Phooey.
Kinda strange to use a Biblical quote, though... |

Really sucks to see CPM go.
Good thing some of their shows have been rescued, though. Now, if someone will rescue Utena, Descendants of Darkness, Arslan, Garzey's Wing, Record of Lodoss War, Project A-Ko, A Wind Named Amnesia, They Were 11, Arcade Gamer Fubuki, Roujin Z, Cyber City Oedo 808, Domain of Murder, and all their hentai... |

| They brought us a lot of good anime for many years. I at least will remember them fondly. |

Cue Roger McGuinn and the twelve-string Rickenbackers. Not being flippant...it totally fits the mood of the very classy parting words in CPM's last PR release, including the following...

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted …

Too many good otaku memories...sigh. RIP, CPM.
Way too many untimely departures these past few months, BTW. Just saying. |

| Oh great, it seems CPM is suffering the fate of Geneon. Gaaah!! Someone rescue their titles, including Munto! |

Thanks for releasing The Venus Wars CPM. It is my favorite anime.
I really really really should try to pick up all the Armored Trooper Votoms dvds, before they are gone. |

The quote from the Bible seems out of place... and from their BeBeautiful escapades I'm surprised they lasted this long.
Did CPM have more than one label name? I know they used to have BeBeautiful, the yaoi line, but after what they did there (publishing manga after the Japanese company had gone bankrupt and then not renegotiating with the new license holders of the manga titles) I can't imagine them having any others... |

I loved CPM - they were the first to release many of my favorites on LD many years ago.

Although I wouldn't want anyone to ever lose their jobs, I only watched two to three shows. When Geneon went chapter eleven it was much worse because I watched Geneon shows.
Don't get me wrong, World of Narue was a great show, but it got a rescue. But neat shows like Deltora Quest and Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure have yet to ever be re-released by any other company.
None the less, it is sad to hear another great company is closing down though. |

What others ignored, you welcomed with open arms.
Thank you, CPM,
for all the memories,
for all the laughter,
for all the tears,
for all the magic,
for all the mecha,
but most of all,
for all the hentai. |
