If this is true, I'm so up for it!
Just wondering how they'll do all the other mermaids with obscure dialects/languages (there's one that speaks terrible unintelligible Tohoku dialect, one that speaks Chinese... etc)

The picture in the article reminds me of an amusing scene from Squid Girl. Could be a cute little comedy, if this anime does come to be I'll want to keep an eye on it.
