| Gonzo needs to learn how to make Afro Samurai cheaper to produce. They'd have no money problems if they did. |

What? Since when are video game animations not a big deal? Madhouse and Studio 4c do them all the time, and they're some of the biggest studios.....

Saki is destined to be a big hit, but given the nature of the contract, Gonzo shares none of the profits.
I don't know what's happening now, but if the company is under pressure to downsize, it'd be in their best interest to prioritize other shows and pursue a release from the Saki project. |

Heh heh. ANN does source 2channel a lot, but they're good about sticking to cases where the 2ch post is calling attention to/explaining facts gathered from trustworthy sources, and not random rumors that exist in 2ch-post form only. Actually I can't recall ANN ever publishing anything unfounded. In this particular case, the true source is the ending credits (screen-shot on the article page there).

| Gonzo has also been removed from the opening credits (which no longer include an Animation Production entry). |

| I hope this doesn't negatively affect the chances of Saki getting an R1 DVD license. Gonzo is so incredibly good about getting it's shows licensed. |

Dunno, but Gonzo had no rights to Saki in the first place (not on the production committee), which is pretty atypical of them.
I suspect that they have no say in things like licensing. |
