What the...

That's not just "no Sazae-san," which is rare already. That's "no Sazae-san, Chibi Maruko-chan, One Piece, or Dragon Ball Kai."

What happened that week? Did Fuji TV have an outage on the 26th?

I know Sazae-san usually has something like four scheduled weeks off a year, so I presume it's the same for the other Sunday evening "perennials".

I think any of the Dragon Ball series should've been the at the number one spot forever considering it is likely the most popular anime ever.

lol. Naruto has a 5.4 houshold rating? That's sad. That's equivalent to Dragon Ball's household in America, which says a lot.

The fact Dragon Ball reached nearly 5.0 in America, almost parallels Naruto's rating in Japan. It's actually sad when you think about it.

Now the reruns of Dragon Ball in Japan are averaging 11-15.0 household ratings... it's actually hilarious.

It's Obon. Summer holiday time. I'm sure they were preempted with amazing specials like Sasuke Smile.

Wasn't this the week when Fuji TV had a "FNS (Fuji Network System) Day" that meant the anime on Sunday (and hence, DB, OP, etc.) wasn't broadcast?

Isn't it too soon for the second Sasuke?

I think the difference here is that the Japanese ratings shown here are for the total audience while Dragonball Z scored 5.0 ratings within a specific age demographic in the Nielsens.

It is, I just meant that they air special one-shot seasonal specials _like_ Sasuke to compete for ratings when everyone is at home with their families.
