| I think Berserk could be really successful if done in the bloody style of the original 1980's Conan movie. With films like that, to the recent 300, we here seem to have proved we like our bloody barbaric ultra-violent films. |

When the Dragon Slayer doesn't just cut, but smashes and bashes armors, scales, bones, meats, and bloods. Like a slap of cold iron that reduces everything within its reach into integrable mess, with every defying swing under its massive weight.
And I want my scalps! |

| Yes, because mainstream audiences will accept the big hulking manly main character taking orders from and being matched by the pretty boy. I'm not quite sure how they'd pull off Griffith. |

| Grappler Baki? That's surprising. I'd much rather they pitched the manga to Viz or something. |

| Densha Otoko? That would be awesome as an Americanized adaptation-- using a sci-fi and comic book nerd instead of an otaku. I'd watch that. Unless it sucked. |

| Couldn't be more excited than to think about a Berserk movie. Just to imagine that huge sword of his slicing people in halves on a movie. And maybe some staff from 300 would help as well! |

IF Berserk is done right it can be successful BUT thats one BIG IF.
If they can somehow condense the golden age arc into two to three hours that would be the right path to go down.
But in all honesty I can only hope Kentaro Miura has the final say and write off (Meaning he reads/possibly writes the script) on this. Keep in mind that when the Berserk anime was being made Miura made it a major point that the script and its wording were done very properly. |

| Ahhh...I don't know. I've been fairly optimistic about the other projects so far but Berserk I worry about. If it was done right it could be awesome but it would be so easy for it to end up as an awful, low budget gore fest. |

Yes, so very true. I just pray, to any and every god, that Fox has no hand in this movie. Fox has not made a decent movie in years, and I want a great Berserk movie. Not something that looked like it came out of the eclipse, and didn't survive.

Agreed. Berserk could definitely be a big hit, but if in the wrong hands..*cough*Uwe Boll*cough*, then it could be a huge blunder.
I'm really hoping a great director would pick this up. This is a property definitely worth picking up. |

| These pitches have success potential but then again Hollywood making adaptations of anime is also a potential epic fail potential. |

| I always thought Peter Jackson should handle a Berserk movie. He likes making zombie gore films and such, and Berserk is basically half-way between that and The Lord of the Rings. The possibility of a three-hour film would also make it easier to squeeze in all the important stuff. |
