:O Really, it's ending soon? 16 years and only 5 volumes for it to end?
Well, I feel like I want to say that I wish it wasn't ending....however this has to be the longest running manga I know. |

FYI, the Crimson Goddess isn't a musical . . . it's a play. There aren't any song and dance numbers.
That said, wow, it's finally going to be ending soon, huh? I'm looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up! |

| Wonder why she only did 5 volumes within the course of 34 years. I think even the best long running series that drag on (cough Naruto) need to end. |

About time, she soon wraps it up but at same time, it sucks to know that it'll end. I hope the ending will be good, not to disappoint me since long-running series usually has a horrible closure. |

In 34 years she has done 34 volumes it's the last 16 years that she has only done five of them. Though I think during some of that time she went back and redid some the earlier volumes to modernize the look. |

Good riddance.
It would be a shame if it did not end. |

| Well I hope its fans will be pleased with the story's closure. Reading articles like this makes me wonder which titles I'll end up reading for decades (Berserk, Blade of the Immortal, etc.) before they end. |

Read this manga, it's a masterpiece. I can't wait to read the final volumes and then the ending, I completely trust its mangaka. |

It's been 34 years...and they still haven't chosen the cast for this play in the story?

Naruto's been going for only 10 years and that has 47. |

WOW, you have to wonder just how far have the characters actually aged over all this time...
I hope this means that she will allow another anime run to be made to offer the final end storyline for everyone too.... |

Ditto that! The TV series a few years back was very enjoyable, so I hope the final manga volumes get animated as well. And as long as I'm dreaming, if they could do it as an OVA comparable in quality to the old set of 3 OVAs, I'd be in melodramatic drama-anime heaven! |

It starts out with a Women who has played the main character in "The Crimson Goddess" years ago finding a protege who ends up being the manga's main character Maya. A lot of time is spent with Maya learning how to act, going to acting school, starting out in other plays, and becoming a famous actress before they even get close to casting "The Crimson Goddess". |
