| Eh, seems a bit of overkill, especially when part of the anime industry appear so stretched financially. They do make a big point with these structures, but it seems a bit odd with the other talk back articles about low wages and layoffs. |

Yes, but comparing the anime industry in general to the works of Tezuka and Gundam is like trying to compare all of Hollywood with the original Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. There will always be enough money to celebrate those truly outstanding works. Other, lesser-known works are the ones that really take the hit.
That being said, the Kyoto International Manga Museum is a really cool place. Not only that, but it's between Nijo Palace and the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which makes it a good place to stop when touring. If you bring manga to donate, you can get in free too. |
