Ah that is too bad - I was looking forward to the continuation of the story, but I totally understand if health reasons get in the way. I am sure he himself is saddened by it all too.

I've only been able to read the first 2 Volumes and seen the 1st movie. The man really knows how to tell an amazing story. I just wish he was better known more here in the U.S. It's sad that he wont be able to draw since it really seemed like he really enjoyed it from what i have read about him previously.

Too bad for him. I haven't read the manga or seen the anime but think I should because I read it is a really good story.

Man, things don't get any easier for that guy, do they? Tetsuo Hara also had a cataract problem, but he still seems to want to continue writing and drawing in spite of it. So Nakazawa's must really be serious.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
All I can say is I sincerely hope his health doesn't suffer any further. |

Man, he was still doing the story?
Hell, it took long enough just to get the rest of the series out here in the states.
It's a shame. I hope that his health will improve. But if he has to quit then it might be time for a well deserved rest. He's had a very eventful life. But I hope that he can find a way to continue. It be nice to see how the series ends. |

can't he at least create the story verbally, and have someone else draw it?

Health always has a way of trampling on one's dreams. Just a thought - why doesn't he train someone in his art style and then dictate the continuation to him/her?

This is sad news, I revere this man. I hope he remains healthy and can continue to tell his story to the world.

Man, that sucks. I hope he would at least consider having another artist take over whilst he dictates the story... I think there are so many people that would love to see the rest of it.

Leon: Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he's not in the financial shape for it?
