Again?!
Admittedly the first time was pretty amusing but I figured that was about all the exposure the anime industry would get on Conan's show... I guess I read him wrong I look forward to tonight's show. |

OMG! I so gotta see this! Perhaps more Americans will learn about anime through Conan. Maybe they'll eventually have an American VA on the show, like Crispin Freeman, perhaps? Ok, maybe I'm getting way ahead of myself, but I can hope, can't I? |

They need to find a way to contact Manga Entertainment and make the "MMMMAAAANNNNNGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...eiiiiaaaaahhhh...ah, my foot!" the official version of the logo announcer.
Anyway, loved the first segment, and I'm eager to see what anime they'll be tackling this time (but is Bang Zoom even dubbing anything at the moment?). |

| As funny as the original segment was, it was also uniquely uncomfortable. It did, however, make glad that I never associated with the "otaku" culture and never aspired to the "otaku" lifestyle. |

Same, but we could always watch the clip tomorrow.
Does anyone know how far into the show the segment aired the first time around?

I gotta agree with you there.

| I'm looking forward to this. I got a kick out of the first one. I hope they pick a different show though. |

It was about 15 minutes into the show the first time. He normally does his skits just after the monologue and first commercial break. I assume they'll stick to that strategy this time around. |

I agree; dubbing the GitS movie was a curious choice. The movie is great and all, but with the terrible plot explanation, the violence, and the censored nudity .... yeah. |

| It's not a PR stunt to get people in to anime. They needed a show that would be recognizable and a show that would provide content on which they could build jokes off of. His show is a comedic talk show, using a show in that bit that wouldn't cater to that would have been stupid. GitS had the perfect mix of being a popular show in the anime world, as well as one that contained a lot of cliches and other elements that make for good humor, like it or not. |
