my guess is jan since the trailer says 2010...and they don't usually put out trailers half a year ahead of time

It would still be rather early for a fully animated trailer of a winter anime series. So it's not surprising that there is no actually animation in the trailer. Most series don't get promos and trailers with the actual animation until about a month or a few weeks before the actual first airing.

2010 Spring (April), according to MOON PHASE ANIME calendar.
