That's not true. Sakura-Con was fifth largest in 2009 and sixth in 2008. I don't know why they're claiming to be third. They're not even third if you compare their 2009 numbers to everyone else's 2008 numbers. |

Actually, no. Several cons have past A-kon now. That con has been around a long time but has never grown as fast as others.
Anime Expo, Otakon, New York Anime Festival, and Anime Central were all larger than Sakura-Con in 2009. A-kon, Anime Boston, and Sakura-Con were all really close to each other in terms of attendance. |
