| Atlus is one of my favorite game publishers, esp. for the PS2 (Persona 3, Persona 4, Odin Sphere) This could potentially be very cool for more games to be localized for English speaking countries. Here's to hoping for the future... |

Well, normally this wouldn't have any bearing on localization since Gonzo Rosso deals in MMORPGs.
However, Atlus started up localization of an MMORPG this year (Neo Steam I believe it's called.) This could be tie into a movement to quickly grab up the localization rights for multiple games at once.
Of course, Shaiya's already been licensed by Aeria Games...Who also licensed Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, which you would've thought to be a guaranteed Atlus USA license. This leaves Master of Epic and Druaga which are both based on anime...I find this coincidence amusing.
I actually messed around a bit in The Tower of Druaga and it was easily the only free MMORPG I'd ever want to play, so here's hoping we see that one overseas. |
