That was actually pretty good.
I loved the background animation, and some of the techniques used. Can't say the same for the story, or character animation though. |

I'm pretty sure that it's "Fumiko no Kokuhaku".
Kokuhaku is how you read 告白
it means "confession". Hakusho means "white paper"...
And it's quite a silly 2 minutes but full of a lot of promise for this guy. |

WOW, that was awesome! Someone is clearly a FLCL fan! The same music is used in Episode 3 and even before that kicked in, Fumiko's feak-out reminded me so much of Miya-jun. The flailing legs (Ninamori style) were the icing on the cake.
This is seriously impressive for a student project! |

| The music is Comedian's Gallop from The Comedians by Dmitri Kabalevsky. FLCL used it, but it's very old. |

| It is good to see a young animator being assertive and making his own short. Could he be the next Shinkai? Maybe. He certainly shows potential. I wish him all the best and hope to see him working in future shows. |

| Now that was just too awesome. It made my morning. Man I haven't seen craziness like that in a long time. And always no animated feature is complete without "panty" shots. LOL!!! |

| This gave me a good laugh-seriously, where did all that energy come from? Pantie shots are necessary in any animated debuts, right? Anyhow, good luck to him. Hope he produces works that are a little more creative than this first clip. |

How weird, I only just noticed this on Catsuka yesterday and then suddenly it appears on ANN.
Don't tell me ANN staff like to browse /a/ threads on Production Sketches from Darker Than Black |

| What a charming debut. Slapstick comedy might perhaps be easier to attempt than character drama, but regardless, this is a vibrant and fluid display of animating prowess. Looking through the list of faculty staff, one can see that this chap has learned from the true professionals. |

That was really cool. When I hear something was animated by a student (even in college) I don't expect something that nice and fast paced.
I've got an idea of what was being said in the beginning (a confession and rejection right?), but what's being said at the end, anyone care to translate?

"Umm, umm. Please go out with me!"
"Sorry! Right now, I want to concentrate on baseball!"
"[something]-kun, you idiot!"
"I'll make miso soup for you every morning!"

Are you sure that line in the middle isn't
"Takasu-kun, iyaaaaaaa~~~~~~~~~~~~!"
which translates into "Takasu-kun, noooooo~~~~~~~~~~~~!"
EDIT: Never mind, I missed that "idiot" line. Anyway, his name is either Takasu or Takakisu. I'm leaning towards the former.

| My goodness, that's impressive for such a small-scale job. That fellow has talent, hopefully this will help get him some due attention. |

| That brought back memories of Loony Tunes style cartoons for me. It was complete with the same music and a classic Wile E. Coyote fall, but instead of crashing onto the desert floor it was a faceplant into the guy who rejected her. |
