Initial D character designs are disturbing and hilarious at the same time. Especially out of context.

the minute i saw the car, i knew an Initial D parody was coming.

xD I totally lol'd. I've never even read/watched Initial D and I still recognized it. That last panel is awesome.

I can totally relate to the whole "I'm broke, but look what I bought!" thing. Sometimes I just can't resist...

I seriously had to resist the urge to laugh out loud when I'm supposed to be doing homework.

Very Noir. Kind of like those Simpson episodes that end with an ominous stare paired with ominous music.

So, we can check "Initial D" off the list of "Parodies required by all anime or anime-related entertainment". We had a Dragonball parody, didn't we? Doesn't seem like we could have gone this far without that. We still need an Ultraman or Kamen Rider parody.

I don't get the joke in the last panel.

But hey, an Initial D reference. Awesome.

I laughed. Hard. But I still can't stand Initial D in about every way an anime should be appealing (art, animation, acting, music, and story/content).

Ah, I didn't understand the joke, but reading here it seems it involves Initial D, which is something I have never seen even the slightest bit of. So it's to be expected I didn't understand the comic, I guess.
