Well said. Thumbs up on the review though I didn't needded it to already buy Part 2. and the dub is a real treat for any dubbers like myself and for fans of other funi comedys like Shin Chan and adv's Ghost Stories.

Though I would have given the dub a better grade if they had did the dub script like Shin chan. That would have been a blast to hear.

Great review Carl, I've been tempted to watch an episode or two. I actually did some research on this show and apparently this show is still ongoing in Japan and has over 292 episodes.

Without watching any of the episodes or any of the manga, I can't tell if this is a action/comedy series or if it variates with each episode.

I'll admit, Funimation seems to have a done a great job with this job thus far, but its hard to rate a series if I haven't really seen much of it. Hopefully there isn't too much uncomfortable fanservice though.

One of the things I initially didn't like about the anime version is it gets rid of most of the fanservice that was in the manga- in one case(the episode where Tamama "trains" Mois to become an adult)one of the funniest gags is dumpedspoiler[in the manga the "training" ends with Tamama trying trick Mois into taking naked pictures so Keroro would think she's a whore and hate her.] But eventually the anime version grew on me.

I've heard some story arcs later on in the series can get fairly serious, but I'm sure there's still some laughs there too. Hopefully the amount FUNi got from ADV (103 episodes) won't end in the middle on one of those arcs. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop And yes, I've heard the fanservice is less frequent in the anime compared to the manga, which I definitely appreciate.

Really liked the first set and the dub, so the other sets will probably be ordered whenever RightStuf has their next FUNi sale.

Is it possible that Funi will get more than 103 episodes, and the movies?

A comedic series going into full blown action? Not to forget, the main cast are a bunch of frogs and run of the mill junior high students? Normally this might be a interesting series, but I am unsure because the series started off as a light hearted comedy.

More than likely, Funimation will finsih up this series, but only time will tell. Purchasing this series and supporting Funimation any way possible will double the chances though.

Sgt. Frog is also highly popular in Korea too from what I've seen. They even aired the Dragon Warrior movie on Christmas Eve here, which made me seek out a possible subtitled version somewhere ASAP.

The serious arcs are very few and far between, and they never feel out of place or unbelievable with the rest of the show. Mainly they serve as an excuse to break out the mecha or power armor and do some action scenes for a change.

RightStuf.com has Season 2 Part 1 and Season 2 Part 2 listed Smile.

I sure hope so, I want to watch the entire series via FUNimation's English Dub if possible Smile.
