| I don't have sound as of now, but from the vid and the pics the characters were very easily identifiable. Not something you get often with manga -> live action adaptions. |

I totally splooged.
No seriously though, especially with Tokyopop NOT releasing the rest of the series, this prompts Madhouse to finish animating the show. |

We can only hope
Beck is by far one of my more favorite series, and while I usually get worried about live action adaptations from manga/anime, this one looks like it might not be such a bad idea. Definitely looking forward to it |

What? They're making the focus on Ryusuke?! Damn, that just totally made me lose interest in the live action movie now. I am sick of seeing Hiro Mizushima in all my J-Dramas. If it was an actor I wasn't familiar with I'd be there, but I've developed an bias with that actor I can't quite shake. I don't want to see a Mizushima-centric film and I don't think I can ever buy him as Ryusuke, but then who knows? Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
And they didn't even show Beck in the whole thing? I wanted to see the dog dammit! |

| Wow, this is the first live action anime film I'm actually interested in seeing. Haven't read the manga yet but I loved the anime so hopefully the movie will rock. |

I thought he was pretty memorable in supporting roles (like Hana-Kimi) but his last few roles seem to be kind of a mixed bag, at least what I've seen. He seems to do well in lighter fare-- I generally liked him in Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) (even though the story fell apart for me, for other reasons), and Mei-chan no Shitsuji (which was mind-numblingly fluffy but enjoyable in weekly doses-- incidentally, his costar in that was the guy who is playing Koyuki). However, his absent-minded loser character in Room of King-- boring (ended up fast-forwarding through the second half of ep01 and never watched anymore). His goofy detective in Mr. Brain-- ugh. His goofy detective (!) in Tokyo Dogs-- ugh, again (didn't even make it past ep02 of that). But I'm looking forward to seeing him tackle something serious. Here's hoping the director won't have him mug so exaggeratedly as he's been in the last few dramas. |

Beck's picture is on the website. When the menu comes up, point your mouse to the right. |

Man, I really hope this movie shows them hit in America.
Cause that was probably my favorite section of the manga. |

| Is anyone else as stunned as I am by how perfect the cast looks? They are dead ringers for their manga/animated counterparts. |
