But that is what is really what makes sports anime/manga so great: Growing up. That's it.
You get to see them conquer the "impossible" without resorting to energy blasts, and mecha. And you get the same "...so cool" feeling as you did previously!
I think the reason sports don't do so well here, is the first thought that comes into our heads: It's about "blank". I'll pass...
Great review Carlo!!! To be honest, I still am skeptical to watch Shonen Onmyouji, as you recommended so highly, but the more reviews you write, that rhyme with my soul, the more tempted I get! |

I'm glad that Carlo keeps reviewing each volume that comes out, Slam Dunk needs all the exposure it can get. If Viz somehow isn't able to release all of the volumes I'll be a very sad person.
I'm really looking forward to the next volumes. I did enjoy the fight, but the basketball is so well done that I've read the volumes containing the game against Ryonan several times even though I've got quite a backlog built up. |

| I'm loving Slam Dunk so far. Awesomely enough, my library had the volumes I'm missing, so I've been catching up on it. Although I am a completely unathletic girl, this series has me hooked. |

Enjoyed the review. I can't believe it is volume 8 already. Looking forward to more volumes. Hopefully the sales do well.
