I totally agree, Myoopi as Chu Chu would have been icing on the cake. But still, wonderful cosplay by the girls. They look absolutely fabulous!

What a fantastic homage to Revolutionary Girl Utena; clearly drawn by the hand of a true fan. One can't help but envision the absolutely awe-inspiring Utenina poster that could be derived from this (including Chyoopu of course).

So funny! You spoofed Revolutionary Girl Utena! I wonder what other anime you'll spoof next?

I think he invited the other guy to a night of zombie killing but the other dude turned him down. |
I stand corrected. I saw the bubble was offset to the side of his head where he had the phone and I assumed that it was coming from the phone. Oops
...it makes a lot more sense now

I can see why not. They would've had to leave him outside gaurding the door though and the two panels (including Kevin wondering why Myoopi looked like that) could've blown the punchline.
1 - Myoopi generally referred to as male, so ineligible for girls' night.
2 - Wouldn't it also be breaking character? I cannot recall Chu Chu ever going to the dueling area.

From 9th through 11th grade I didn't have alot of guy friends so 90% of them were girls so I was concidered on of them. If this is what they did, if they did like anime except for the two that did, I'd be at girl's night.
Great comic and Utena reference! Kevin sometimes you need to have a back-up plan at all times if your guy friends can't hang out.

I just had to register for this, because I finished watching a series literally the day before this comic was posted.
Can you guess? Can you guess? Can you guess what it was?
The timing was unbelievable.

Nothing like some alone guy time. Watch some sports, have a few beers, and maybe put in a dirty movie. It's a full night.

I know how you feel, I can't STAND being recommended series that are long out of print and impossible or highly expensive to acquire (legally).
With Utena though I got lucky, I was able to get all 3 box sets a few years back at around $40-60 each new. A few months later, and getting it that cheap is no longer possible .
Same with Steel Angel Kurumi, damn I got lucky with that one. |
its showing on anime net work and steel angel (well when I went) is available at Block Buster
