Yeah... Saint Louis is still getting shafted (though you don't me telling you that). We really haven't seen much anime-wise outside the 'limited' release of Disney's Ghibli releases (though those are far more expansive than the Madoka films will ever be here) and whatever film festivals come STL's way, nor are there really any big cons. (Remember Kunicon. REMEMBER.)

And heck, I've never even heard of Greensboro! Looking at wikipedia, the city itself and the Piedmont triad metropolitan area hold fewer people than Saint Louis & its metropolitan area....

Well, can't get too upset now-- finals week is coming up, and I'll be off for a whole month after that, so maybe something will happen then in our favor. And hey, asking Aniplex over facebook and twitter won't hurt.

Exactly. Get together every Anime fan you know in St. Louis and have them all ask AoA to bring the films there. Let them know in a respectful way that St. Louis is the fifteenth-largest metropolis in the United States and that there are enough PMMM fans to sell out a couple of sessions.

Greensboro, NC is near college campuses like Duke University and University of North Carolina.

And STL also has Washington University (which is basically ivy-league tier), Saint Louis University, University of Missouri-Saint Louis, Webster University.... Darn it, my hometown in the STL metropolitan area is called University City partly because it has several colleges/universities in its vicinity (including Washington University)! STL is definitely not a Hicksville, nosiree. Razz Anyway, guess I might really have to get in touch with a theater to talk about a magical girl anime double-feature come break...

Ah, & dtm42, did the Australia showings of the movies play (or are they playing) anywhere near you? If so, did you go/are you going? Just curious, and wondering if you have any thoughts on them...

North Carolina universities tend to have larger matriculation though; maybe that's why they got higher priority.

I love PMMM, but even I'm not going to hop on a plane and fly for three hours and twenty-one hundred kilometres (1,310 miles) just to go watch a couple of movies.

(Please note I live in New Zealand, which is as far away from Australia as Washington D.C. is from Dallas, San Diego is from Kansas City, New Orleans is from Phoenix, London is from Kiev [capital of the Ukraine], and Hong Kong is from Japan's Seto Inland Sea. New Zealand really is in the middle of nowhere.)

Ergh, sorry 'bout that! Of all the times to forget that you lived in NZL (which should've been obvious given your profile) and not Australia.... Man, apologies for assuming too much. I guess I must lump them together more than I thought I did.

At least ya'll get the Ghibli releases, the town I live in is so small we have to drive an hour away just to go see one. I'm not even sure if Gkids is gonna release Poppy Hill in that town because I'm not sure how limited their showings are. Same goes for when they re-release Grave of the Fireflies in theatres.
