Man this takes me back. I actually have one of those.

I'm sure there are some Japanese doll makers that might be interested in this. Interesting idea.

An anime adaptation of an instruction book for making monkey toys from socks.

Yet people still say there's no innovation in modern anime.

"Sock Monkey Loves You" sounds like something a person in an insane asylum would scream while bouncing off the walls.

Very Happy Wow, I would love to see this. The instruction book itself looks very artistically produced.

I'm probably the only person interested in this, but I thought I would document that there is a potential error in the associated article, which states that I Love You, Sock Monkey is going to be made into a TV anime in Summer 2010. There was no word on this, so I poked around and found a different source that says the adaptation will actually be a Flash animation movie.

The linked article actually cites ANN as its source. The original Japanese source for both states that the anime is slated to air this summer.
