I've been to the museum about two years ago, and it's a wonderful experience. If you're an anime and manga fan and you're planning a trip to Japan, a visit to the Kyoto Manga Museum is something you MUST do (along with a visit to the Ghibli Museum, the Suginami Animation Museum and the Tezuka Museum).

As a teenager who had the incredible luck to be able to go to Europe and stay there from December to January on winter break, I have never been more jealous of a twelve year old (though it makes me weirdly happy that she's also from L.A). I have to go to that museum one day.

The museum is in kyoto Smile

Went down their last march, was a really cool experence, would have loved to stay their longer and read though some of the english section.

The place was more like a library for manga than a museum, loads of people in the hall ways reading manga.
