The first thing this made me think of was this...
...that'd be an interesting crossover concert. |

| I'm more interested in this articles mentions of Andrew W.K.
I must listen to these albums. Side note: A Thousand Suns was better than Minutes to Midnight, but was incredibly bland outside of 5 or so tracks. (There's only around 9 "real" songs on the album with almost half of the tracks being interludes) Like, seriously, boooooring. Wretches and Kings still f**ked me up, though. Amazing song. |

| I'm more excited about the new album (which I didn't know was coming) then the model but that's kinda cool I guess. I have no patience for models though. | ||||

You would think so, but apparently Gundam was chosen instead. I will say this though, some of their music sure isn't the most upbeat tune I've heard. Not that is bad, but I just noticed that. |

| Boris did a Gundam-themed song years ago, if anybody's into them.
http://www.youtube.com/ http://www.youtube.com/ I could never buy into this band... it's because of sad nu-metal units like this that people don't know what "emo" means. I'd GLADLY buy a Rights of Spring CD if it came with a Zaku though. |

| Oh my God, this is like a bad youtube joke gone wrong.
Alright, I'll admit, certain Newtypes definitely fall under the "crawling in my skin" category (Amuro, Kamille, ect), but I just can't take this seriously with Linkin Park attached to it. ![]() |

| This is typical Linkin Park. Notice how their music is used in the crappy Transformers movies, and they think anyone and everyone who buys their CDs is going to want a Gundam toy... when the Mobile Suit franchise is a rather unknown-unknown to the general public in America.
Ever since they started this nonsense, of making themselves known as fans of giant robots, I've started to hate them. Their music never symbolizes anything of the sort robotic or giant--I'd see it more fitting in things like DBZ or Naruto, or something. Another thing I've seen closest to something like this, was when Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park incorporated a sample of Faulconer's Perfect Cell theme to their album. But, these guys obviously love mobile suits. Did you guys also see that Chester Benningham plays a victim in the new SAW movie? lol |

You must have hated them ever since their 5th single came out back in 2002, right? |

I want to make a demotivator about the LP Gundam with these words. |

NOO!! Please no. (seriously) The only anime I would approve of for their music is Bottle Fairy. |

There are probably millions more who've heard that song but have never seen that video. My point, is that the only way I discovered they liked anime was when I saw a Gundam model in one of their music videos and when they sampled DBZ's Perfect Cell theme, some 4 years after I listened to their music, and now, it's like they have found ways to bring that interest out to the broader public, by signing deals with Michael Bay's Trashyformers films, and now throwing a Mobile Suit toy into their CD release like they are trying to promote it somehow, when they know 90% of the people buying their CDs will have no clue what the toy is? It's kind of gross in a way, how they have capsized on these things, just to show almost how obsessed they are with giant robots. Their obsession with giant robots was not why I liked them, or why I got into their music, it's almost the opposite reason and seeing their whole artistic style change into something that's like a representing of something else's pop-culture or even just a dumb idea evolved into more dumb ideas that they feel should be promoted more, is disgusting. |

Did you even read the article? They have a song featured in a new Gundam video game. The bundle with the plastic model is only being released in Japan, where the game is being released, and 90% of people DO know what Gundam is. I see no problem with a band lending their music to something they actually like, as opposed to whoring out to anyone and everyone that gives them money. |

| I actually like that color scheme for the Gundam model. The only thing that it needs is more white in the legs... like in the joints and on the sides of the shins and on the 'toes.' | ||||
