It's only the single-volume manga that's been released in the U.S.. The manga is based on a longer running series of novels. Many fans had expressed some disappointment in the brevity of the manga.

I am in agreeance with cyrax on this one. There are guys who would read yaoi and yuri and doesn't mean they are gay or anything.I have read a few novels myself.

Anime hyper I'm sure they don't mean it like that.

@quincyarcher: Ahh. I was actually quite satisfied. :\ But eh, I guess I'll get the novels in case to see if there's any more happening.

Now that's what we call caring about the fans. I bet we'll never see Tokyopop ask if we want them to license, say, the Island novels (which everyone wants them to license very badly! ... Or maybe that's just me Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop ) I mean, sure DMP has the profits they can make utmost in their mind, but, at the same time it shows that they listen to what the fans are saying. I guess it's not a big deal, but, I dunno, I'm impressed. Here's to an online petition that can actually work Cool

Yes, I agree. ^^ I have a friend that went so far as to get the novels in Japanese because she loved the series, so this news made me happy and I signed it. I think it's great what they're doing. Anime smile

Both companies will only license & translate something if they think it'll be profitable. DMP's petition is merely a way for them to see if there's enough interest to make it profitable.

It is a very fan-friendly way to do their market research, but the motivation and result aren't much different than Tokyopop's.

For the record, I'm a bgi fan of the products DMP has been putting out lately. I don't care for the Yaoi, but their otherstuff pleases me and the quality is very good for both the yaoi and non-yaoi.

Of course you count! Every one counts!

Yes, their novels really ARE enjoyable. Especially Only the Ring Finger Knows.

The manga was licensed and i heard it was a total success, selling over 20,000 copies. I was one of those people who bought the manga. I can't wait till they licensed the novels! I was so sad that the manga ended. I thought if they had continue it as a manga, it would be even more popular, but i guess it won't happen since it's merely a promotion for the novels. So please, DMP, LICENSE THE NOVELS! There are people like me who would be the first to stand in line for the novels!
