naturally my inner anti cgi takeover is bias towards cgi.....but it looks like ps2 graphics, It may be innovative to experiment with cgi, (The Harlock and Gaiking movies) but this just doesn't look good

Looks kinda bad. Like others said, reminds me of cutscenes from some PS2 game. I mean the characters themselves are watcheable, and the environment, more or less, but when Luffy did gear 3 in the beginnning it was just plain horrible.

Ewwwwww, cel shading for a movie based off a manga/anime. I think a bit of puke just went up my throat. So happy I'm not a One Piece fan, or I'd be mad.

this is so freakin bad....

most disappointing One Piece movie ever made.

i was expecting it to be animated like it always did but with a 3d experience to it. but look what i just saw. my god... why did Oda approved this movie -_-

I won't judge it without even seeing it yet. Plus the only One Piece movies I didn't like that much are Movie 3 & The one which retells how the Crew met Chopper only with Robin, Franky & the Sunny in the story.

So I'm still interested in seeing this one, and then I'll decide if it's any good. Plus it's not like they're going to suddenly change the animation in the TV series from 2D to 3D anytime soon.

I may love One Piece, but I still do not think that translating anime to 3D animation works at all.

It's not like I'd be interested in this otherwise, though. I have never watched any of the One Piece movies.

It reminded me of the One Piece Wii game, I don't mind the graphics I just want to see the story they will have since they anime is right before the new arc.

The Japanese creators, methinks. I'm telling ya, it's all about money and greed. Creator's intent and all that jazz. Hope for 0-day SCR unedited fansubs. Twisted Evil

That's just terrible. It's not that 3D has to be bad either, Cyberconnect is doing GREAT work with their Naruto games, which are looking better than the show at the moment, but that is just some REALLy bad CG.

Why in the world would you hope for that? As a huge One Piece fan, I'd hope that this never gets fansubbed, so I don't even have the option of sitting through it. Razz
